The Center for Disability Advocacy Rights ("CeDAR"), Inc.  was founded in 1997.  CeDAR is a not for profit legal organization providing free legal services to indigent individuals in New York City seeking disability benefits from the Social Security Administration.  CeDAR provides legal representation to low-income New York City residents in Social Security/SSI Disability cases at the administrative and federal court levels.  We have limited funds for representation at the administrative level.  If you are an adult residing in Manhattan or are calling for a child residing in one of the five boroughs of New York City, call (212) 979-0505 regarding possible representation.   If you are unrepresented and have been denied at the Appeals Council Level (or have an unfavorable ALJ Decision following a federal court remand) or are already in federal court, call (212) 979-0505 for possible representation.
